Post 1964 Signage History Post 1964 Signage History

This routing remains as defined in 1963.

In 1999, a routing from Commings Valley Blvd to W. Tehachapi Blvd along Tucker Road was adopted.

The routing along Tucker is cosigned with Business Route 58. Business Route 58 splits east on Tehechapi Boulevard whereas Route 202 stays on Tucker Road. Route 202 continues west on Valley Boulevard towards the California Correctional Facility; Valley Boulevard was originally a section of US 466. It seems that Route 202 was moved east into Tehachapi via Curry Street, Tehachapi Boulevard, and Tucker Road between 1965 and 1967 as the Route 58 expressway was being built. Route 202 was shifted onto Valley Boulevard west of Woodford-Tehachapi Road some time in the 1990s.
