A Memorable Memorial Day

Today was a very nice day.

It started out with cleaning my closet. Pulled everything out. Stuff that was too small, too stained, or something I would never wear went into a big plastic trash bag to be donated. Two LARGE bags of stuff. My wife did the same, and filled another two bags. As soon as we call LA Sanitation Bulky Item pickup to get rid of the dead sofa, we’re calling Council of Jewish Women to take another half-garage load. [For those who don’t know, National Council of Jewish Women will pickup your stuff and inventory it for you, giving you no excuse not to donate. And remember, it’s tax deductable!]

After that, we (my wife, my daughter (“Small & Feisty (S&F)”), and I) went to a wonderful Memorial Day Swim Party at a close friend’s (L and S’s) house (ellipticcurve was there, along with some other friends). We spent about 2 hours swimming, and then played a batch of games (S&F, L, T, H, and ellipticcurve played Munchkin, while J and I (that’s me) played Loco!. Then, T, H, ellipticcurve, and I played Ticket to Ride. Lastly, S&F, ellipticcurve, and I played Girl Genius. When not playing, others snacked, talked, and had a great time. Thanks L and S for a wonderful afternoon and evening.
