A Personal Aside: The Sheriff then turns and faces the camera, and says, “cahwyguy has asked me to add the following:
nsshere is my daughter, and she turns 13 today. Over the years, we have seen her blossom from Katie Ka-Boom into a delightful, thoughtful, and insightful young woman (although age 12 was sort-of touch-and-go!). I hope she remains such through her teenage years, and that they pass for her without too much teen angst and drama, other than the drama she wants on the stage. As she grows, I hope she finds in life what she wants out of it, for she deserves it (well, most of the time, after all, she is a teen). One last night, for those who saw the poll: the movie she ended up deciding to see was “Lars and the Real Girl” (which is what I thought she would want, looking over the list). One thing I’ve always loved about nsshere is that she is her own person, selecting her likes and dislikes based on her taste, not popular opinion or what her friends like. She’s not into most modern music — she opts for the Spice Girls and Broadway. She’s not into modern fads — she abhors “High School Musical”, and loves “Pippin” and “Hair”. She’s her own, with a unique style and outlook, and I love her for that.”
