Yesterday, thanks to a pointer on slashdot, I read bradfitz‘s explanation of the architecture of livejournal. I knew I wasn’t wasting time reading LiveJournal. Rather, I’ve simply been experimenting with large scale, high traffic applications of open-source replicated back-end databases. This has direct application to the advice I give.
