A Tiring But Good Day

As noted earlier, today Small & Feisty came home from camp… and loved it. She wants to go back already; she’s campsick. I couldn’t be prouder. I think it has helped her as a person, I think she has grown… all together good. Camp is a good thing.

I’ve spent most of the afternoon configuring one of the two new computers, and it is about 95% done, except for coordinating networking between the systems and setting up printers and that rot, plus some miscellaneous software. I’m surprised at how easily everything has gone. For all we can bash windows, installation has gotten easier over the years. It’s a drawn out affair, tho…

The new computers will serve as a catalyst for our remodel, as to place them right requires rearranging some rooms. gf_guruilla came up with a great idea for the desk: go to Lowe’s and have them custom build a laminate counter top, and mount that on some file cabinets, with back 2×2 supports, for the desk. Seems like an easy custom desk. That’s why I married her—a great head on her shoulders (and I enjoyed the rest as well :-)).
