A late lunch today–I’ve been busy. A few quickies (no pun intended) that, in my opinion, reflect the times very well:
- From the “You Give Us 22 Minutes…” Department: Just as two city papers are no longer sustainable (hell, one isn’t even sustainable anymore), two “all-news” channels don’t make economic sense. So KNX and KFWB have diverged, and you shouldn’t look to KFWB for all-news anymore. They’re going entertainment… and on weekends, all infomercials.
- From the “It’s a Horse Race” Department: Another sign of the times: Hollywood Park is unable to run a horse race on Thursday because there aren’t enough horses to run. It seems that fewer and fewer folks are racing horses.
- From the “And A Disneyland Pastime Returns” Department: I’m sure, by now, you’ve heard of the cuts at Disney and how it is affecting the parks. There’s a side effect of that: they are redeploying the photo screeners at Splash Mountain, postulating some to speculate on how quickly “Flash Mountain” will return. Paging Mr. Leykis.
