Bad iPod Day, But AppleCare is Coming to the Rescue

Today is a day for cleaning the house. So, I synced up the iPod (which went just fine), and got to work. However, I was getting the wow and flutter I periodically get, so I attempted to reboot the iPod. Flip the lock, press stop because it was still playing, and did the reboot sequence. The iPod screen goes black.

Try rebooting. Nothing. Try the suggestions on the website. Nothing. Call an Apple Care representative, and we still can’t get it to boot. He sees I’ve got the Apple Care extended warranty, and says it will be replaced with a new one, no questions. So, off I go at 4pm today to the Apple Store in Northridge to replace it.

Hopefully, it will resynch with iTunes just fine and reload the music. The music seems to be safe on the F: disk, so I’m a little less worried about that aspect.

Still, sigh.
