Getting Ready for the weekend…

First, a while back I posted a review of “It Came From Beyond“, a delightful 1950s camp musical that we saw with shutterbug93, starring Kevin Earley. Music and lyrics by Norman Thalheimer and Stephen Michael Schwartz. Christianson and Thalheimer are known for their new musical Wicked City Blues; Stephen Michael Schwartz is well known for being a member of Parachute Express, doing the music for Jay Jay the Jet Plane, and being a member of Temple Beth Hillel. The author of the show, Cornell Christianson, has just posted a few clips from the show on YouTube, so I figured I would take advantage of the new embedding feature

Two other videos from the show are “American Way” and “I’m Blank“.

In other news, today I’m working from home, because tonight I get to have a special shabbat… at camp!. That’s right, about 3:30p NSS&F and I put on white shirts and head up to Malibu to Gindling Hilltop Camp for Shabbat services, dinner, zmirot, and dancing. This should be quite fun.

Tomorrow is a theatre day, amidst the work I brought home. At 11am, NSS&F and I will be going to CSUN to see one of her friends in a Teenage Drama Workshop production of 101 Dalmations; while we’re doing this, my wife, ixixlix, and ellipticcurve will be at the Huntington Library taking a class on cooking with flowers. Later that evening it’s back to the theatre to see The Last 5 Years at The Pasadena Playhouse. Sunday, so far, is quiet.
