Ah, the Weekend…

It has been a long week, and I’m glad the weekend is here. I guess any week that starts off with a briefing to a Brigadier General is going to be a crazy one. But I survived, and I hope I made good impressions.

Anyway… on to the weekend. This morning is mostly house stuff: desk work, picking up, laundry. At 11:00a, we’re seeing our accountant to do our taxes (yes, we see a CPA to do our taxes… I’ve always done this, being the son of a CPA and a PA, and the son-in-law of a CPA). After that…. Games Day 20 in Burbank.

I always look forward to Games Days: A full day of open board gaming for only $5 per person. Today, I’m hopefully going to get a chance to teach my daughter how to play Diplomacy. I also hope to be able to get in a game of Power Grid. Beyond that, who knows. Surely I’ll play some train games (such as Ticket To Ride), and perhaps I’ll learn some new stuff. While my daughter and I play into the night (yes, she’s a board gamer too), my wife and ixixlix will be having some time together.

Don’t know fully what is happening Sunday yet. I know we’re having dinner with ixixlix and her family (which likely means more gaming). Other than that, who knows. Perhaps I’ll take the morning to do my monthly highway page updates!
