Saving History

Neat. A bunch of students have decided to preserve Boelter 3420, the lab from which the first Internet message was sent, for posterity. They are going to restore it to the way it looked originally, including the original IMP, which was (quite fortuitively) saved.

I can’t recall if I ever had any classes in BH 3420. I do know I spent a lot of time in BH 3514, the UCLA Computer Club (a/k/a “The sloppiest room on the 3rd floor”). I still wonder whatever happened to the 360/91 front panel the club bought.
