Death Trifecta, Plus Other Recent Deaths of Note

Today, we hit the death trifecta:

  • Deborah Kerr, star of The King and I and From Here to Eternity.
  • Joey Bishop, comedian, late-night talk show host, and rat pack member.
  • Teresa Brewer, pop singer who I keep thinking was involved with Do Re Mi, but I can’t prove it. Perhaps the show was based off of her.

And three slightly older ones of interest:

  • Enrico Banducci, the man who created the “Hungry i” nightclub and launched the career of many comedians, as well as folk acts like the Kingston Trio, Peter Paul & Mary, the Limeliters, and others.
  • Carol Bruce, best known for creating the role of “Mama Carlson” on the original WKRP in Cincinnati.
  • Werner Von Trapp the fourth child of the Von Trapp Family Singers, which became known through the musical “The Sound of Music“.

So who had these folks in the Death Pool?
