ACSAC Registration is Open

Since 1990, I’ve been coordinating the tutorial program for the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference. As such, I’m really pleased to announce that registration for the 2007 ACSAC in Miami Beach is now open. Note that you get a discount on registration if you have your hotel reservation made, so do that first.

We have a strong program for the conference this year, which you can see by reading the PDF Advance Program. I’m particularly happy with the tutorial program (but of course), which consists of the following nine tutorials:

Monday, December 10, 2007 (M1) Web Services Security, Techniques and Challenges (Anoop Singhal, NIST & Gunnar Peterson, Arctec)
(M2) Security Engineering (S. Greenwald, Independent Consultant)
(M3) Broadcast Encryption and Traitor Tracing for Content Protection (Hongxia Jin, IBM) (M4) Web Injection Attacks (V. N. Venkatakrishnan, University of Illinois at Chicago)

Tuesday, December 11, 2007 (T5) Hands-on Web Application Security (Holger Peine, Fraunhofer-Institut Experimentelles Software-Engineering (IESE)
(T6) Security Code Review for C and C++, High Assurance Applications (David McManus, Booz Allen Hamilton) (T7) Security Code Review for Java & J2EE Based Applications (Edward Tracy, Booz Allen Hamilton)
(T8) Botnets – Understanding and Defending (Bruce Potter, Booz Allen Hamilton) (T9) VoIP Security Analysis – Tools and Attacks (Siddhartha Gavirneni, Inter-Tel, Inc.)

Please spread the word about the conference to those you know who work in the field of Computer Security. If you work in that field, I encourage you to attend.
