According to CNN, George Lucas has given his blessing to a 20-minute version of the entire Star Wars saga, done by the same folks that cut all of Shakespeare down to 97 minutes: The Reduced Shakespeare Company. The performance will be filmed during a one-off performance at London’s Criterion Theatre on Aug. 17, and broadcast in Britain in the last week of August. According to RSC’s Adam Long, “This is my boyhood dream, in the space of 20 minutes I’m going to be Jabba the Hutt, Jar Jar Binks, Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker.”
