It’s Monday, Isn’t It…

[First and foremost, happy birthday and many returns of the day to bellwethr]

Growing older is a bitch, but it is better than the alternative. The wrist brace does seem to be helping my arm (although I do have to trade it off with a wristlet to write). However, this morning I woke to my lower back really bothering me. I probably did too much yesterday helping my B-I-L assemble a railroad toy table from CostCo, after all the cleaning on Saturday. Grrrr. I brought in a back support belt, but its a pain to wear. C’mon, “excedrin”-equivalent… kick in…

Luckily, today is a pretty quiet day. At home, we’re getting the earthquake gas valve brought up to code. Here at work, I need to dry-run the presentation I’m doing for an upcoming class, as well as reading some documents. I’d better get to it…

Update at 1:19 PM: The plumber flaked, but if he keeps putting it off, it is his nickel that pays for a new permit. My back is still bothering me, but a little bit less. Looking forward to getting home… A little over two hours before I go down to the vanpool. Back to working on my presentation…

Update Tues 10:20 AM: Note that the plumber thought his appointment was Tuesday, so hopefully he’s done things this morning.
