Miscellany and Various

Item the First. Does the image (wait a second) on this site just seem wrong? Christmahanukwanzakah indeed. Rudolph with a chanukiah as antlers (and the shamus in the wrong spot). A Christmas tree with a large Magen David at the top. I’m sure the artist thought they were being cute, but to me, it is culturally insensitive… of everyone!

Item the Second. The universe is officially notified that I’m tired of the irritated nerve. Please make it go away. For some reason, it was worse today, and seems to be worse at the computer at work than at home. I’ll have to play with the ergometrics some more. I’ll note that at home, I don’t have a wrist rest, instead resting my arms near my elbows on the arms of my chair.

Item the Third. Wouldn’t it be nice if when a person died, all of the paperwork and financial accounts automagically took care of straightening themselves out. Alas, this isn’t the case.

Item the Fourth. It really was great meeting the folks up in the Bay Area and Davis areas. We’ll have to do it again. Next, however, is Tucson.

Item the Fifth. The conference is next week. It is amazing how many niggling details must be decided at the last minute. I hope the folks like final program with an astrobrite blue cover. It was a close to turquoise (an appropriate color for Arizona) as I could get.

Item the Sixth. I’m on the mailing list for Strategicon, a group that hosts a gaming convention on President’s Day weekend at LAX. I’m also on the mailing list for SoCal Games Day, which has been providing information on Conquest-LA, a competing convention the same weekend two blocks down. Boy, its fun to watch the fur fly. This should be an interesting weekend.

Item the Seventh. This space intentionally left devoid of useful information.

Item the Eighth. CNN is reporting that Walmart is cutting their prices after disappointing sales. I guess that smiley face didn’t do as good of a job as he claimed in cutting prices. Never could trust those 1970s icons.

Item the Ninth. At least work is busy right now, but my arm makes it a pain in the… arm.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled life. That is all.
