We’re at our first vacation destination: Pismo Beach. The drive up was nice. We stopped first in Ventura and saw my cousin Jerry. I haven’t seen him in a while, and it was a nice visit. The nicest surprise of the visit was my cousin Jessica, who has really grown and matured since we last saw her. After having lunch in a neat little country cafe in Venutra, we continued up the coast through our usual route (101 to 154), stopping at the Los Olivos Grocery. From there, we continued north to Pismo. On the way to the hotel, we hit the Pismo Outlet Center and did a lot of shopping (Bass and Van Huesen had great sales, and the ladies had fun at the Jockey store). Dinner was Mo’s BBQ in Pismo. Now we’re in the hotel, catching up on email.
