According to the Chicago Tribune (the first place I saw it), Stanislaw Lem died Monday in his native Poland at the age of 84. Other details or the cause of death were not given, only Lem’s advanced age.
I remember reading Lem when I took a class on Science Fiction many many (many) years ago at UCLA, during my undergraduate days.
