It’s out. The Tutorial Package is out!
One of my volunteer reponsibilities is being Tutorial Chair for the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference. This position, which I’ve been doing for 15 years (I started as asst. chair in 1989, and took full chairship in 1990), is now down to a pattern: and one of the big humps is getting the package out to reviewers.
It’s out. We’re down to 16 proposals this year, because of mumblefrotz spam. Yup, someone reported a conference mailing as “spam” to our provider, and now we can only use opt-in lists, which makes it harder to contact folks who gave tutorials at other conferences. But don’t get me started on the impacts of spam.
Now I get to wait for the reviews to come in.
