Today, I’ve been home sick. In between checking LiveJournal, email, and pushing through laundry, I’ve been resting and watching TV. Bonanza. Hence, the lyrics in the title.
I’ve been struck by the advertising. It seems they are aiming to an elderly audience. I’ve seen ads for medicare insurance, dependable undergarments, and menopause treatments. Hey, I’m not 46 yet! It reminds me of when I’m home sick, and see all the ads for trade tech schools, get insurance for your accident, and similar things.
Targeted advertising. If you’re in the group when it is on, it is great. If you are not… it’s damn annoying. So what targeted advertising sticks in your craw?
