- Jason Robert Brown (jrbrown) has done the last installment of his story about The Preditor’s Ball (also referred to as The Moneyman or The Moneyman Dances), an aborted 1996 musical about Michael Milken. In this post, he provides 3 MP3s (“Money Gonna Make You A Real Man”, “I Rise”, “Mexico”) from the cancelled show. Part II, posted in January 2008 provided the songs “Reborn (The Fallen Angel)” and “Milken on the Floor”, and Part I, posted in August 2007 provided “Coming Home (The Ballad of Michael Milken)” and “The X-Shaped Desk”.
- Tom Paxton has posted some new short shelf life songs for download commenting on recent events, including “I’m Changing My Name to Fannie Mae” (a variation on “I’m Changing My Name to Chysler”), and “Sarah Palin” (which also has a You-Tube video).
