Yesterday, I sat down and watched most of the Rose Parade (as an aside, I have no idea why they call it a Tournament of Roses–there’s no jousting, no besting of knights with American Beauty’s vs. Mr. Lincoln’s… but I digress). I did this primarily to support Stephanie Edwards, as evidently did a number of other folk. But I also checked the other stations. In the past, there was the network coverage of the parade (which was piss-poor), and local coverage on Channels 5, 11, and 13 (I don’t recall KHJ covering things). I remember the battle between the KTLA team coverage and the KTTV team coverage (with Bill Welch).
But now. It’s just KTLA with the local coverage. There was the network coverage (only on ABC and NBC), and HGTV. That’s it. But at least Stephanie is back.
