Looking Forward To Theatre Weekend

Just got a call from the wife; looks like I’ve got a theatre weekend coming up:

  • On Saturday, February 5th, we’ve got tickets to Anna In The Tropics at the Pasadena Playhouse.
  • On Sunday, February 6th, we’ve got afternoon tickets to Pippin at the Freund Playhouse at UCLA.

Should be fun. So what’s happening this weekend? Well, Saturday we’ll be trying again to go to the Fountain Pen Shop in Monrovia. Sunday, I’ll be taking S&F on a temple outing to go ice skating at the Culver Ice Arena, after which we’ll be getting together for dinner with ellipticcurve and gyesika—a farewell dinner as gyesika will be moving to Austin TX later in the week to join her beloved profstevie in their new home. In some ways I’m jealous: she’ll be able to have great barbeque whenever she wants, and can attend the local shows of the Austin Lounge Lizards (perhaps she can convince them to come back to Southern California). Given that, I’ve got just the place for dinner: Johnny Reb’s Southern Roadhouse in Long Beach. Great food!
(I should note that if other folks would be interesting in joining us, please let me know by commenting. I’ll need to make reservations if we go above 6 people).

Alas, Monday I have to work, while my family gets it off (and to preempt the question from mortuus: yes, the Air Force gets the day off, however we don’t :-()

As for what else is happening: Apparently, S&F went to school OK—at least I had no reports of problems. My right (not left) wrist is now bothering me, so I’ll just wear two wristlets, one per wrist, as that seems to help. I’ll likely get to drive the van home for a third day in a row; that’s how the driver rotation crumbles. So it goes.
