Routing Post-1964 Routing. Legislative definitions for this route in the post-1964 state highway system.
History and Signage Information Highway History. General historial information about the route number and its use (or previous uses).
1928-1963 Signage History 1928-1963 Signage History. These sections provide information about signage of this highway (both the route and the number) before the 1964 renumbering. If no symbol is present, the information presented is for the post-1964 routing (which was also the pre-1964 routing):
  • State Shield This image is used to indicate information about pre-1964 signage of the current legislative route assigned this number. It may be accompanied by other symbols indicating current signage.
  • Pre-1964 State Shield This image is used to indicate information about the routing (as signed, which may have differed from the legislative definition for the number) for this number before the 1964 renumbering.
Post-1964 Signage History Post 1964 Signage History. These sections provide information about signage of this highway (both the route and the number) after the 1964 renumbering. Unless otherwise indicated, this information relates to the post-1964 definition of the route.
Legislative Route Graphic Pre-1964 Legislative Route. Before 1964, the legislative route number (LRN) of a route differed from its signed route number. This section provides information on the route assigned to this number by the legislature before the 1964 renumbering.
Status Current Status. Current status of the route. This gives information about construction, signage, and specific routing notes.
[Statistics] Statistics. Various statistics about this particular highway. This includes length, funding information, average daily traffic (the latest figures I have), summits, counties traversed, and highway classification information.
Commuter Lanes HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) Lane Information. Information about any commuter lanes constructed, or whose construction is planned, along this route.
Naming Naming. Common and official names for the route.
Structure Names Naming. Common and official names for structures (bridges, tunnels, etc.) along the route.
Memsign Memorial Signs. Information on individuals remembered in the State Memorial Marker Program.
[Exits] Exit Information. Information about exits and exit numbering on this route, including pointers to exit number lists.
National Trails National Trails. Provides information regarding national trails that may have corresponded to this route.
Interstate Submissions History as Interstate. History of any submissions of the route as part of the Interstate System
Business Routes Business Routes. Information about business routes that have been defined for this route.
Freeway Freeway. Identification of portions of the route that have been legislativly designated part of the State Freeway System. Not all segments so designated have been constructed to freeway standards.
Scenic Scenic. Identification of portions of the route that have been legislativly designated part of the State Scenic Highway System.
Historic Historic. Identification of portions of the route that have been legislativly designated part of the State Historic Parkway System.
Interregional Route Interregional Route. Identification of portions of the route that have been legislativly designated part of the State Interregional Road System.
Double Fine Double Fine Zones. Identification of portions of the route that have been legislativly designated as Safety Enhancement-Double Fine Zones. In these zones, traffic fines are doubled.
Blue Star Memorial Highway Blue Star Memorial Highway. Identifies those portions of the route that have been designed as a "Blue Star Memorial Highway", a system of highways dedicated as a tribute to the Armed Forces of the United States, and maintained by the California Garden Clubs, Inc.
