So here we go&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shuttle Impacts<\/strong>. As you know, the Space Shuttle is coming to Los Angeles. One impact of transporting the shuttle is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/local\/la-me-shuttle-trees-20120904,0,5463653.story\">the need to remove around 400 trees<\/a>. This has a number of people upset, but others are happy because many of the trees are invasive Ficus trees that create sidewalk problems. By the way, they will be replanting the trees 2 for 1, but the new trees will not be as large as the ones removed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sexism at Restaurants<\/strong>. We don&#8217;t often think of a restaurant as gendered (well, other than Hooters), but they often appeal to one sex over the other. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/money\/la-fi-mo-eva-longoria-she-steakhouse-women,0,1124897.story\">Eva Longoria is attempting to change that with SHe, a steak-house for women<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Go Man Go<\/strong>. For those that love BBVD, you should be aware that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vcstar.com\/news\/2012\/aug\/30\/dont-look-now-but-big-bad-voodoo-daddy-is-back-a\/\">Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is coming out with a new album.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Oldest Building<\/strong>. An interesting article on <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.latimes.com\/2012\/sep\/04\/opinion\/la-ed-adobe-20120904\">the search for the oldest building in Los Angeles<\/a>. Hint: It&#8217;s not where you would expect it to be.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Berkeley<\/strong>.
