Nor am I talking about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/nation\/nationnow\/la-na-nn-time-magazine-breastfeeding-cover-20120511,0,6423348.story\">eating at the boob<\/a>, although I would think standing up to do it would be uncomfortable. I&#8217;m not even talking about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/03\/27\/eating-the-placenta_n_1383046.html\">eating your own placenta<\/a>, although that is a little squicky. What caught my eye this week was an article about how <a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/world_now\/2012\/05\/south-koreans-confiscated-pills-human-remains.html\">South Korean officials have captured capsules containing human remains<\/a>: specifically, human flesh, most likely extracted from aborted fetuses or stillborn babies. That&#8217;s just plain wrong. According to Chinese officials, the pills, which were marketed as &#8220;health tonics&#8221;, were composed of &#8220;ground stillborn fetus or babies that had been cut into small pieces and dried in gas ranges for two days, then made into powders and encapsulated,&#8221; the report said. Ooh. Ick.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weird Things About Our Pets<\/strong>. A few pet related items. An interesting article from The Week relates to a new trend: <a href=\"http:\/\/theweek.com\/article\/index\/227662\/tattoos-for-your-dog\">getting tattoos for your pets<\/a>. No, your pet doesn&#8217;t go under the needle. Rather, they are air-brushing designs onto your pets. Of course, PETA is against it. Me, I just find it wierd. Now, if you want something fun about pets, I suggest listening to Act I of this weeks &#8220;This American Life&#8221;, where <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thisamericanlife.org\/radio-archives\/episode\/154\/in-dog-we-trust?act=1\">David Sederis has a great piece called &#8220;The Youth In Asia&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Because It Is Really Better Not To Know the Facts.<\/strong> Of course, with in a lead in like that, you know I&#8217;m talking about something politicians did. This time, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/05\/09\/house-votes-cut-census-survey_n_1504748.html\">it is voting to cut a census survey that has been done since the 1800s that has provided useful information to guide this country<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8230;but I&#8217;m not sure you need to know them all.<\/strong> In the useless facts column, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mentalfloss.com\/blogs\/archives\/126115\">more information than you never needed to know about the Animaniacs<\/a>.
