This is not because I haven&#8217;t accumulated some, but because it hasn&#8217;t themed well. However, we&#8217;re coming up on the end of the week, so I&#8217;ve decided to share a few with you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An Interesting Path<\/strong>. A Boeing 787 undergoing flight tests took <a href=\"http:\/\/gizmodo.com\/5884425\/there-is-a-boeing-787-drawing-an-image-across-the-entire-united-states-right-now\" target=\"_blank\">a flight path that drew a Boeing logo across the United States<\/a>. More details <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/02\/13\/787-dreamliner-draws-boeing-logo-flight-path_n_1274778.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>An Interesting Retirement<\/strong>. We&#8217;re all familiar with the retirement of the space shuttles. But what about the modifed 747 that carried the shuttle. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.space.com\/14555-space-shuttle-piggyback-jumbo-jet-retired.html\" target=\"_blank\">One of them, NASA 911, just flew into the retirement sunset<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>An Interesting Dilemma<\/strong>. If you&#8217;ve ever been to New Orleans, you&#8217;ll know you see leftover Mardi Gras beads everywhere. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/nationworld\/nation\/la-na-mardi-gras-beads-20120216,0,1959252.story\" target=\"_blank\">The LA Times has an interesting article about attempts to recycle Mardi Gras beads<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>An Interesting Death<\/strong>. There have been a number of music deaths of late: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/obituaries\/la-me-don-cornelius-20120202,0,5101594.story\" target=\"_blank\">Don Cornelius<\/a> (of Soul Train), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/obituaries\/la-me-whitney-houston-20120211,0,1429262.story\" target=\"_blank\">Whitney Houston<\/a> (I hear she&#8217;s a singer)&#8230; but the one that caught my eye was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/obituaries\/la-me-dory-previn-20120216,0,2450227.story\" target=\"_blank\">Dory Previn<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.playbill.com\/news\/article\/159712-Songwriter-and-Singer-Dory-Previn-Shannon-Dies-at-86-\" target=\"_blank\">Playbill Obit<\/a>). Over the weekend, I picked up a copy of &#8220;Come Saturday Morning&#8221; by Liza Minnelli, and this made me remember both the song and the movie &#8220;The Sterile Cuckoo&#8221;. Dory Previn is the person who wrote &#8220;Come Saturday Morning&#8221;.
