I argued that it was; he argued that it wasn\u2019t. So, I was please to see <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/news.slashdot.org\/story\/10\/10\/14\/135219\/Proving-0999-Is-Equal-To-1?from=rss\">an entry in Slashdot today regarding the controversy<\/a>, including at 28-page paper.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, I\u2019ve lost touch with this friend. Last I knew, Mark was a VP at Racal Vadic, but I haven\u2019t heard from him in years (I\u2019d guess at least 10). He\u2019s one of the high school folks I\u2019d love to get back in touch with.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll note this is one of those great questions that I think shows something about your inner thinkings. Other \u201cgreat questions\u201d include the superhero question and the wealth question.
