On the soap-side, CBS is <a href=\"http:\/\/artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com\/2009\/04\/01\/cbs-turning-off-guiding-light\/\" target=\"_blank\">turning off \u201cGuiding Light\u201d after 72 years<\/a>. You read that right, 72 years. Law and Order can\u2019t beat that. More locally, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.variety.com\/article\/VR1118001997.html?categoryid=14&#038;cs=1\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Moyer is retiring from KNBC 4 after working there since 1972<\/a> (although he had a short stint at KABC 7).
