{"id":284,"date":"2005-10-03T21:38:00","date_gmt":"2005-10-04T04:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cahighways.org\/wordpress\/?p=284"},"modified":"2005-10-03T21:38:00","modified_gmt":"2005-10-04T04:38:00","slug":"its-been-quite-a-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cahighways.org\/wordpress\/?p=284","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s Been Quite a Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we walked into services tonight, my daughter reminded me of how much has happened this past year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My father died after a month in intensive care after an auto accident.\n<li>We moved into a new house from our home of 17 years.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ellipticcurve.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">ellipticcurve<\/a> moved from her apartment a house in the San Fernando Valley.\n<li>Our daughter graduated 5<sup>th<\/sup> grade and started 6<sup>th<\/sup> grade at a new school walking distance from home.\n<li>We left our congregation of 8 years and joined a new larger congregation.\n<li>I served my last year as conference chair, and went back to being a plain old tutorial chair.\n<li>We&#8217;ve met loads of new friends via this little thing called LiveJournal. We&#8217;ve even met some of them in person.\n<li>Our dear friend, Rabbi Nosan-Blank, moved to Sacramento and had her baby.\n<li>My stepmother (who I&#8217;ve grown closer to) is now planning to move as well.<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a year of changes (and I&#8217;m not someone who likes change).
