I can’t believe I forgot to post this on Thursday. I’ll have to blame it on age and CRS disease. I hope that everyone enjoyed their roast eagle, with all the trimmings:<\/p>\n\n\n
Take an Indian To Lunch<\/b><\/p>\n

Take an Indian to lunch this week
\nShow him we’re a regular bunch this week
\nShow him we’re as liberal as can be
\nLet him know he’s almost as good as we<\/p>\n

Make a feathered friend feel fed this week
\nOverlook the fact he’s red this week
\nLet him share our Quaker Oats
\n‘Cause he’s useful when he votes
\nTake an Indian to lunch<\/p>\n

Two, four, six, eight, who do we tolerate
\nIndians, Indians, rah; rah; rah<\/p>\n

Take an Indian to lunch this week
\nLet him sit right down and munch this week
\nLet’s give in and all do the brotherhood bit
\nJust make sure we don’t make a habit of it<\/p>\n

Take an Indian to dine this week
\nShow him we don’t draw the line this week
\nWe know everyone can’t be
\nAs American as we
\n(After all, we came over on the Mayflower)
\nTake an Indian
\n(Not a wooden Indian)
\nBut a real, live Indian
\nTo lunch!<\/center><\/td>\n

The Luncheon Under The Trees<\/b><\/center>
\nNarrator:<\/b> Needless to say, the luncheon there under the trees was a great success, and a good time was had by Puritan and Indian alike. Everything came off beautifully with the exception of one minor catastrophe.<\/p>\n

Mayor:<\/b> What do you mean you cooked the turkey, Charlie?
\nCharlie:<\/b> Well, I cooked the turkey, that\u2019s all.
\nMayor:<\/b> You put our national bird in the oven. Is that correct?
\nCharlie:<\/b> Yeah, well I, uh \u2026
\nMayor:<\/b> And all of us had our mouths set for roast eagle with all the trimmings.
\nCharlie:<\/b> Yeah, well I, uh \u2026
\nMayor:<\/b> You did a thing like that?
\nCharlie:<\/b> Well, the two birds were lying there side by side.
\nMayor:<\/b> The *turkey* was for the centerpiece, Charlie, I mean \u2026
\nCharlie:<\/b> Well, they looked so much alike that I, uh \u2026
\nMayor:<\/b> Well, we blew it now. They\u2019re all sitting down at the tables out there.
\nCharlie:<\/b> Yeah, yeah.
\nMayor:<\/b> \u2026 starting on their little nut cups already. Just have to switch the birds, that\u2019s all.
\nCharlie:<\/b> Yeah, well \u2026
\nMayor:<\/b> Serve them turkey instead of eagle. But it\u2019s kinda scrawny-lookin\u2019, isn\u2019t it?
\nCharlie:<\/b> Yeah, well I thought I\u2019d stuff some old bread in it and make it look a little fatter.
