I\u2019m doing it again, for <a href=\"http:\/\/cahwyguy.livejournal.com\/592152.html\" target=\"_blank\">my wife\u2019s birthday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s right. I\u2019m (well, we\u2019re, as <a href=\"http:\/\/ixixlix.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">ixixlix<\/a> is an accomplice) throwing her a party, for a group of <i>her<\/i> close friends. We\u2019re having it catered by a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northvalleycommunitynews.com\/restaurantreviews1.html\" target=\"_blank\">local Persian restaurant<\/a> she likes (instead of doing the cheaper Costco route). We had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.merrymaids.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">a professional cleaning crew come in yesterday<\/a>. For those who know me (and know it\u2019s hard for me to spend money on people), this is a real \u201cout of the comfort zone\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She even gets the first crack at the new Harry Potter book.<\/p>\n<p>But you know what.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s worth it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, I did something uncharacteristic.
