It\u2019s been a long day at work, and I got to drive the home. So, you get some news articles of interest, perhaps with a little commentary&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>From the \u201c<b>Have you got anything without spam?<\/b>\u201d Department<\/i>:  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/money\/industries\/food\/2007-06-11-bk-spam_N.htm\" target=\"_blank\">USA Today is reporting<\/a> that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Burger King<\/a>, in Hawaii, has put <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spam.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">spam<\/a> on the menu&#8230; in order to compete with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcdonalds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mickey-D<\/a>\u2019s, which has had spam on the breakfast menu since 2002. Evidently, unlike on the mainland, Spam is quite the popular dish in the islands &#8212; one magazine has gone so far as to refer to it as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.viamagazine.com\/top_stories\/articles\/hawaiian_food05.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Hawaii\u2019s soul food<\/a>.  Still, one wonders how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.detritus.org\/spam\/skit.html\" target=\"_blank\">Monty Python might respond<\/a>.\n<li><i>From the \u201c<b>Take Me For A Ride In My Car-Car<\/b>\u201d Department<\/i>: The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/la-ft-tata11jun11,1,2909999.story?coll=la-headlines-business\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles Times is reporting<\/a> that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tatamotors.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tata Motors<\/a> (they have horns that go honk-honk) is set to unveil the world\u2019s cheapest car&#8230; so cheap that it doesn\u2019t yet have a name. How cheap, you ask? $2,467. Of course, it won\u2019t be available in the US or Europe, as it will not conform to European safety and emissions norms. It will be available in South Africa and a few European countries. According to the manufacturer, &#8220;It will be a good-looking car which you will want to purchase.&#8221; Yeah, right. One word: <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yugo\" target=\"_blank\">Yugo<\/a>.\n<li><i>From the \u201c<b>Happy Fathers Day<\/b>\u201d Department<\/i>: The New York Times <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/06\/12\/science\/12angi.html\" target=\"_blank\">has an interesting article<\/a> on those little swimmers that made you who you are.
