The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailynews.com\/business\/ci_4484848\" target=\"_blank\">LA Daily News<\/a> is reporting that Wendy&#8217;s Corporation  introduced a strategy Thursday to revive its brand by introducing new menu items and emphasizing product quality. Sound familiar. Since the death of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wendys.com\/dave\/flash.html\" target=\"_blank\">Dave Thomas<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dave_Thomas_%28American_businessman%29\" target=\"_blank\">founder of Wendy&#8217;s<\/a> (and chief advertising spokesman), in <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2002\/01\/08\/companies\/wendys_obit\/\" target=\"_blank\">2002<\/a>, the company&#8217;s performance has been lackluster and unfocused. Recently, it has decided to refocus on its core business of square burgers. It has spun off its coffee-and-doughnut chain <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timhortons.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Hortons<\/a> last month, and just announced that it is selling <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bajafresh.com\/jump.jsp?itemID=0&#038;itemType=HOME_PAGE\" target=\"_blank\">Baja Fresh<\/a> to the same group that owns brands including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetfactory.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sweet Factory<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinnabon.com\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\">Cinnabon<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dennys.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">Denny&#8217;s<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s business news is of the fast food kind.
