Whereas ham operators used to provide status when disaster occured, it is now bloggers. Consider <a href=\"http:\/\/interdictor.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">interdictor<\/a>, who is at <a href=\"http:\/\/directnic.com\" target=\"_blank\">a datacenter<\/a> with its own power on downtown N.O. He&#8217;s been updating regularly throughout the day. Or the SunHerald, which has <a href=\"http:\/\/eyesonkatrina.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">a blog on blogspot<\/a> where it is providing regular updates and finding reports for people. Or, for that matter, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nola.com\/newslogs\/breakingtp\/\" target=\"_blank\">Times-Picyune<\/a>, which has a news blog up and running.<\/p>\n<p>Just fascinating how blogging is changing the world. I think we&#8217;re going to be seeing even more creative uses of blogs.
