Another <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steveallenonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Allen<\/a>, in my opinion. Kids today know Winchell as the voice of Tigger. But he was much more. A talented ventriloquist, he was the voice of Jerry Mahoney and Knucklehead Smith, and had <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0300836\/\" target=\"_blank\">a regular TV show on KABC, Channel 7<\/a> in Los Angeles, as well as a  syndicated program while I was growing up. He was also an inventor who held 30 patents, including one for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulwinchell.com\/artificialheart.htm\" target=\"_blank\">an early artificial heart<\/a> he built in 1963.<\/p>\n<p>Paul, I hope you&#8217;re at piece, and that your spirit is reunited again with your collegues such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/SHOWBIZ\/TV\/9808\/03\/shari.lewis.obit\/\" target=\"_blank\">Shari Lewis<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiohof.org\/comedy\/edgarbergen.html\" target=\"_blank\">Edgar Bergen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>TTFN, and the mood is in honor of you and Tigger.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Obituary Here.
