Time for another installment of LJ as a memory crutch. The following are some interesting references I&#8217;ve learned about at the workshop, which I&#8217;m writing down because I&#8217;m afflicted with CRS (&#8220;Can&#8217;t Remember Shit&#8221;):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.coverity.com\/main.html\" target=\"_blank\">Coverity<\/a> is working with DHS to measure the quality of Open Source. They have <a href=\"http:\/\/scan.coverity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">a website<\/a> where they publish their assessment of the open source they look at.\n<li>There is a <a href=\"http:\/\/nvd.nist.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Vulnerability Database<\/a> run out of NIST that collects and consolidates the information from <a href=\"http:\/\/cve.mitre.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">the Mitre CVE descriptions<\/a>. This is useful for finding vulnerabilities. <\/ul>\n<p>We now return you to your regularly scheduled content. Nothing to see here. Move on.<\/p>\n<p><font size=\"-3\">P.S. And it doesn&#8217;t bother me at all that <a href=\"http:\/\/ellipticcurve.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">ellipticcurve<\/a> got moved to an executive suite after finding bedbugs in her 3<sup>rd<\/sup> floor room.
