Woo-Hoo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This has been an incredibly busy week. Other than my shoulder still bothering me, I&#8217;ve been going like gangbusters. So what&#8217;s going on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I&#8217;ve just completed the process of bringing all my journal entries into the tag space. Next is refining the tag space.\n<li>Wednesday night we had our first Bar\/Bat Mitzvah parent&#8217;s round robin. &#8217;twas quite interesting, although I was a bit of a show-off due to my knowledge from the FAQ. I do like Rabbi Jim&#8217;s approach to having the kids to a lot of the service and coming out feeling good. He recommended that we all see the movie <a href=\"http:\/\/movies.yahoo.com\/shop?d=hv&#038;cf=info&#038;id=1809274925\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Keeping Up With The Steins<\/i><\/a>. Luckily, we&#8217;ve got a head start on the Mitzvah Project&#8230; it looks like NSS&#038;F will be helping our good friend Jolie revamp the webpage for, and work with, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.larrs.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles Radio Reading Service<\/a>.\n<li>Last night, I did some more rearranging in the garage. We&#8217;re getting closer to being unpacked. We only moved&#8230; almost a year ago!\n<li>This Saturday I&#8217;m going to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nohofest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">No Ho Arts Festival<\/a>, a two-day festival of theatre and the arts in North Hollywood. Hopefully the weather will hold up for this. It should be fun, but I&#8217;ll be going by my lonesome: &#8216;da wife and kid will be at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.celiac.org\/newsEvents\/conference2006.php\" target=\"_blank\">CDF Annual Conference and Food Faire<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ellipticcurve.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">ellipticcurve<\/a> will be gaming, and <a href=\"http:\/\/venedotia.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">venedotia<\/a> will be working. Is anyone reading this going to NoHo on Saturday? Perhaps we could meet.\n<li>I&#8217;ve been having a bunch of fun communicating with some family members back east whom I&#8217;ve never met (Weinbaum branch), who might be coordinating a family reunion in the Nashville area sometime next year. See what happens when you put your <a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cahighways.org\/aboutme\/ftree\/\">family tree<\/a> online.\n<li>Early next week is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/CSSF\/\" target=\"_blank\">California State Science Fair<\/a> at USC. Monday afternoon I&#8217;ll be taking NSS&#038;F to view <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/CSSF\/Current\/Panels\/\" target=\"_blank\">all the projects<\/a>&#8211;she&#8217;ll then write a report for her teacher on what she saw. Tuesday I&#8217;ll be a judge and panel chair for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/CSSF\/Current\/Panels\/J12.html\" target=\"_blank\">Jr. Division Math and Software Panel<\/a>. I&#8217;ve already looked through the projects a few times: there are some that are quite good, some that I&#8217;ve got good questions for, and some that I just don&#8217;t quite understand (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/CSSF\/Current\/Projects\/J1218.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">J1218<\/a>&#8230;and this is her 4<sup>th<\/sup> year on the same related subject [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/CSSF\/History\/2005\/Projects\/J1209.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">2005<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/CSSF\/History\/2004\/Projects\/J1212.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">2004<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/CSSF\/History\/2003\/Projects\/J1210.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">2003<\/a>]&#8230; she started in 5<sup>th<\/sup> grade). I&#8217;m always amazed, reading the project summaries, that these are 6<sup>th<\/sup> &#8211; 8<sup>th<\/sup> graders (Jr. Division). The projects are just amazing.\n<li>I&#8217;ll likely be doing my <a href=\"http:\/\/cahwyguy.livejournal.com\/378867.html\" target=\"_blank\">Stash Tea Order<\/a> over the weekend.
