It has been a long week, and I’m glad the weekend is here. I guess any week that starts off with a briefing to a Brigadier General<\/a> is going to be a crazy one. But I survived, and I hope I made good impressions.<\/p>\n

Anyway… on to the weekend. This morning is mostly house stuff: desk work, picking up, laundry. At 11:00a, we’re seeing our accountant to do our taxes (yes, we see a CPA to do our taxes… I’ve always done this, being the son of a CPA and a PA, and the son-in-law of a CPA). After that…. Games Day 20<\/b><\/a> in Burbank. <\/p>\n

I always look forward to Games Days: A full day of open board gaming for only $5 per person. Today, I’m hopefully going to get a chance to teach my daughter how to play Diplomacy<\/a>. I also hope to be able to get in a game of Power Grid<\/a>. Beyond that, who knows. Surely I’ll play some train games (such as Ticket To Ride<\/a>), and perhaps I’ll learn some new stuff. While my daughter and I play into the night (yes, she’s a board gamer too), my wife and ixixlix<\/a> will be having some time together.<\/p>\n

Don’t know fully what is happening Sunday yet. I know we’re having dinner with ixixlix<\/a> and her family (which likely means more gaming). Other than that, who knows. Perhaps I’ll take the morning to do my monthly highway page updates!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
