As always, at work, it is either feast or famine, flow or ebb<sup>1<\/sup>. Today, we have feast! I&#8217;ve got at least three projects wanting my results by Friday, Monday, or Tuesday&#8230; and I&#8217;m taking Friday off, and teaching a class on Tuesday. Why a prarie dog? Ever watched them: They stick up their heads out of their holes, look around, and go back into their hole to work! <\/p>\n<p>So, sticking up my head for a minute, I&#8217;ll welcome <a href=\"http:\/\/starowl.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">starowl<\/a>, who just friended me. Now, I normally don&#8217;t acknowledge folks that friend me. However, <a href=\"http:\/\/starowl.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">starowl<\/a> was the second person I friended, after <a href=\"http:\/\/ellipticcurve.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">ellipticcurve<\/a>, because I knew him from the community of folks who do <a href=\"http:\/\/www.triskele.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">roadgeek webpages<\/a>. So, welcome!<\/p>\n<p>In other fronts, things are well but busy, busy, busy. I reported on my weekend plans <a href=\"http:\/\/www.livejournal.com\/users\/cahwyguy\/130166.html\" target=\"_blank\">yesterday<\/a>. So far, no change, although with the way things are going, I won&#8217;t be burning a full day of vacation on Friday.<\/p>\n<hr align=left width=200><font size=\"-2\"><sup>1<\/sup>. This just brought into my head the musical strand: &#8220;Flo and Eddie by the fireside, what a way to spend the night. Warm and cozy, by your radio.&#8221;. Does anyone remember Flo and Eddie anymore?
