Today’s a headachy day, so let’s go straight to the clearing of links:
- A Clean Sweep. Why do witches ride brooms? The answer, at least according to this article, is to get high. Gives a new meaning to the term “flying”. I’m not even going to ask about Harry Potter.
- Do Re Mi. Why do we call the notes “do re mi”. It wasn’t Rodgers and Hammerstein’s fault. Blame the Benedictine Monks.
- Linda Ronstadt. An interesting article looks at Linda Ronstadt, and how she can tell when the Parkinsons hit.
- Fox News. In an interesting study, Fox News has fallen off the list of top-10 Republican favorite brands. What’s at the top? Craftsman and Lowe’s. Democrats (although not this Democrat) prefer Home Depot, it seems. In similar news, KFI and its brand of Conservative talk radio (including Rush) has seen a significant ratings drop, from #1 to #13. This may just be indicative of the SoCal non-Conservative market, but then again, the “Progressive” Talk Radio did not make it in LA.
Later today, if I’m up to it and the Belkin router doesn’t bounce, a quick summary of the election a week from Tuesday. You probably didn’t know we have one (it is a special election), but we do.
