Under the Umbrella

I’ve always found corporate logos interesting… I guess ever since the days I was obsessed with the NBC “N” logo. There’s just something about corporate branding that fascinates me. It is with that background that I share USA Today’s report that Citigroup is soon to be known just as “Citi”, keeping the red arc, but selling the trademarked red umbrella back to St. Paul Travellers (which lost it a few years ago), which will rename itself Travellers.

Never underestimate the power of a good umbrella, or a good symbol.
