When You Think About It

I keep thinking about Rush Limbaugh and his “slut” statement, in particular the line: “She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.” Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m aware of only one style of contraception that gets used up when you have sex (and thus, having more sex makes things more expensive), and that type of contraception does not require prescription nor is it covered by medical insurance.* The type that is covered by insurance is taking periodically, independent of how much sex one does or doesn’t have.

Once again, when one thinks about what he says, Limbaugh demonstrates he doesn’t know what he is talking about.

*: Yes, there is “Plan B”, but given the timing and effects of that, I doubt that is what is being discussed.
