(meme) Three Things

[Snarfed from everyone, but most recently from barnabas_truman]

Rules: Post 3 things you’ve done that you believe nobody else on your F-list has done.
Indulge in remorse if someone calls you out on a listed item.

  1. Seen the original cast of “The Rothschilds” and “Mack and Mabel”
  2. Thrown a sofa off the third floor of Boelter Hall at UCLA into a waiting dumpster below.
  3. Put over 16,500 songs on my iPod.

(memes) Posting Meme/20 Questions

There are a few memes going around of interest:

Meme The First. Snarfed from talonvaki and kyberg, with some of kyberg‘s variations.

Everyone has things they post about. Everyone has things they don’t post about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don’t post about, but you’d like to hear about, and I’ll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.

Well, I pretty much write around what I feel comfortable writing about, but if you have a question, I’ll be glad to try. I reserve the write to answer the question in a post visable limited to a smaller audience.

Meme The Second Snarfed from kyberg.

People who have been tagged must write their answer on their blogs and replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves. Tag 8 people. Those who are tagged cannot can refuse. (Of course you can, sheesh….) These 8 people must state who they were tagged by.You cannot tag the person who tagged you. I was tagged by: (no one).

Attack of the Pod People

Last night, when I was picking my daughter up from religious school, I struck up a conversation with a co-congregant about what I was listening to on my iPod. As I did, I realized that one’s selection of podcasts can tell one a lot about a person. Hence, the following question:

What podcasts do you listen to?

I am subscribed currently to four podcasts:

  • Broadway Bullet. A mix of interviews, theatre news, and in-studio performances. (iTunes)
  • Downstage Center. A production of the American Theatre Wing, Downstage Center features in-depth interviews with actors, directors, and producers. (iTunes)
  • Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me. The NPR News Quiz, which is often hilarious. (iTunes)
  • CarTalk. I’ve been listening to Tom and Ray discuss car repair since the mid-1980s, but not regularly. Now I can, and I’m happy. (iTunes)

So what podcasts do you listen to? What would you recommend to me?
