To try to catch up (it’s been a busy week), here are a few transit and highway related news chum items for your dinnertime enjoyment:
- Assessing Road Conditions. Those of us in the big city have gotten used to using sigalert.com or Google traffic. Here’s an announcement of an interesting map app from Caltrans: it integrates Google traffic with Caltrans maintenance reports, the changeable message signs, and CHP reports: quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
- Orange Line Extension. From KCET, here’s an interesting block by block exploration of the new Orange Line extension to Chatsworth.
- Our Transit Future. Here’s a link to a real interesting video about how Los Angeles’ transit lines might be built out. The song is catchy too! Would that this existed today.
