Mmmmm. Tea (and other sundry notes)

I’m a big tea drinker at work. I have my gigantic Mug-O-TeaTM that I got at the Renaissance Faire (which holds about 1.5l of tea), and loads of loose tea. However, my collection of tea has been going down, and it’s time to replenish. Thus, it’s time for an order from Stash. This time, I’m ordering the following teas: 100g Darjeeling, 100g Irish Breakfast, 100g Christmas Morning (a blend of Darjeeling First Flush, Indian Assam, China Keemun and Yunnan, southern Indian teas, Formosa Oolong and Jasmine Flower), 100g Dunsandle Estate India, 100g Gunpowder Temple of Heaven (a green tea), 100g Fusion Green & White, and 100g Peach. Yum.

In other news, it’s been a reasonably productive morning. No headache, and I’m actually getting stuff done (except, of course, while they are sanding drywall and painting the new office next to mine. I hate Sinclair paints—they stink.

Now, last night was something else. S&F had a charley-horse in her arm, and if she’s miserable, we’re all miserable. She didn’t fall asleep until 10:30 PM, and that was with mommy sitting next to her for 1½ hours. As my headache had come back (muscle tension, as a heating pad took care of it), I hid in the bedroom and watched the first episode of Medical Investigation. Not bad; I may try it again if I’m home on Friday nights at 10:00 PM.

Tonight, we’re going to try to go to a congregational dinner and shabbat services at our new congregation. We got the newsletter yesterday (9/9); it was mailed on the 7th… and reservations for the dinner were due the 3rd! Everytime I look at their newsletter, I think: “Stop. Me. Before. I. Try. To. Fix. It.” A mishmash of fonts and fonts sizes. No organization. No easy way to find things. I did so much better when I did the TBT Newsletter. But I’ve got to let it be: I’m not volunteering for at least a year, and I need to remember how much work editing a monthly newsletter is. Stop me before I volunteer again!

[Edited to add, because I hadn’t noticed it before…]
P.S.: Happy Birthday to ginamariewade

P.P.S.: My wife called the congregation. They cancelled the dinner (probably due to lack of response). At least we know how religious school will start, as they are late on mailing that information out.
